The graphite electrode specimens with and without superfine powder were compared and analyzed. The results show that adding an appropriate amount of ultrafine powder to the dry formula can significantly improve the mechanical strength of the electrode, and its flexural strength and compressive strength are increased by 9.7% and 10.6%, respectively.
